I have had both amps, I think I would stick with the titan as its a real
workhorse. On the Ameritron side I will say I way able to push the amp hard
and the tubes are less costly to replace. The only problem I had with the
ameritron during the 4 years I had it was one of the eimac 3-500z tubes blew
a glass seal and ameritron promptly replaced that even though the warranty
sez tubes problems are to be dealt with through the mfgr. I recently sent
ameritron a question via e-mail and received a prompt reply as well.
Customer service there is still excellent.

The one time I operated a Titan the thing was a monster. Why do you want to
change. The 82 runs two 3-500Z with 1000 watts plate disapation...while the
Titan runs two 3cx800A7 with 1600 watts plate disapation. Just curious,
because the Titan reviews are very good...and the 82s are not all that hot.

could deal on Ameritron 82A the discontinued model of 82. I understand that
the 82 A had a more beefy tranformer than the newer models, Is this true?

problems? Good tech support, etc.? I realize I'll lose QSK without the Titan
but never really cared about that option. old fahioned I guess.
