[1000mp] Opinions 1000MP and Ameritron 82

I'm thinking of selling my Ten Tec Titan( was offered could deal on Ameritron 82A the discontinued model of 82. I understand that the 82 A had a more beefy tranformer than the newer models, Is this true?
Anyone using an Ameritron with the 1000MP? If so , how do you like it? Any problems? Good tech support, etc.? I realize I'll lose QSK without the Titan but never really cared about that option. old fahioned I guess.
