[1000mp] IC-746 PRO A/B Test Results

I listened a bit this weekend on my IC-756Pro II to the CW part of Field
Day. I was pleasantly surprised to find how sharp the DSP CW filters were
and how well they "deleted" adjacent strong signals. The comparison was only
one that deserves to be classed as 'anecdotal', but it was sufficiently
impressive for me to think I may try to use the Pro II in some contest this
Autumn or on the low bands when the ground freezes here at the 45th
Parallel.

Not to turn this into the Icom site but a) thanks Earl, very interesting,
keep us updated and b) this rig was certainly appealing to me until I saw
the transmitter 'numbers'.... I don't remember for sure for the 3rd order
products we're around (only) 22dB down.... totally unacceptable for a
'modern' HF rig.

my 2 cents...
