[1000mp] MP losing audio

I switched on my MP this morning, and after about 10 minutes the audio took 
a slow dive. I had to turn up the volume to 3/4 clockwise till signals 
sounded normal. I switched off the rig for a minute and then back on. Same 
thing. After a few minutes the audio slowly reduced. It's quite noticeable 
and it fades to low output in about 15 seconds when it starts.  I did a CPU 
reset and disconnected EVERYTHING from the rig including antennas. The same 
thing happened. I could hear the white noise reduce in volume.  The signals 
are still there as I injected a signal to s-5. It stays at s-5 while the 
audio fades.  Something in the AF output I imagine.  Any ideas anyone?
