I initially bought the 599 for use with my boatanchors - works great, but
then found it made quite an improvement even on the Yaesu.  However, as Earl
states the KDSP2 is inboard, where the advantage is one need not constantly
adjust the volume control on the radio to avoid overdriving the DSP unit -
this is one consideration for me, when deciding whether to use the 599, or
the Mark V's own dsp.  Tom
