If you're interested in a very nice program which enables you to monitor
all the NCDXF beacons on all the bands (20 to 10 incl WARC bands),
display their signal strengths, switch the radio from band to band, etc.
you might want to check out BeaconSee at
http://www.ip.pt/coaa/software.htm. You can start it running, walk
away, come back in half an hour or so, look at the monitor and see which
band is open to where. Real slick. Of course, after you have used it
for a while you will want to buy a multi-band vertical to get an
omni-directional receive pattern.
Hope this is of some interest.
