I have used the internal model (two different versions) in a
pair of AL1200's here for many years. 

Over the years I have used a TS-930S, IC-765, and since
1995, a pair of MPs with the QSK-5 circuits with no problems.

There are guys on the AMP reflector who like the outboard
unit as it works well with non-stock QSK amps ...
