[1000mp] FM audio level with MD-200

Hello all,

I recently noticed my Mark V has a very low mic audio level when in FM 
mode and using the MD-200A8X desk mic. Other mics including the hand mic 
that came with the radio sound acceptable. I've fiddled with the pot on 
top (mic level) as per manual but the audio level never  gets high enough. 

By the way, the mic level pot came factory set to fully clockwise. Any 
others with a Mark V/MD-200 combination having a similar issue?
