I would go back and re-read the CQ-Contest archives on this first ... 

Two things ... one make sure this is FOR the MP, and not the 1000/D
and second there were some other posts about REMOVING a mod
<W8JI's ?> due to changes in the keying <being too soft for the op>. 

Again ... make sure this even applies to the MP first ...

Despite the list-QRM, I think some progress is being made from
the various discussions being posted, and that's good ...
