Earl, CW signal MUST have clicks. Question only in it's width.
If you have clear 150 Hz width CW, you will still hear 75 Hz of
clicks after tone signal in both sides.
Usually people forget to subtract width of receiver in their
tests. If you have +-300 Hz CW on receiver with sharp 400 Hz,
width of this CW is 300+300-400 = 200 Hz.
Other words, width of CW signal is width of it's clicks, hearing
without tone.
