For those that asked:
-My radio is out of warranty (about 2 months).
-Yaesu charged me $550.99 plus shipping.
      -Parts cost $375.99, labor $175.00.
-The most expensive parts were the FET's at $187.23 each.
-I sent the radio to Yaesu instead of repairing it myself
because I wanted all current updates installed.
-I'm sure there are several shops that could have done the
repair but, as I said, I wanted to be sure to get all
       current updates.
Now a question for the group. Does anyone know what the ATU
and PA modifications address. I couldn't find out much from the
customer service desk.

out of curiosity, why wasn't the repair covered by warranty, and /or
what WAS the cost? (if its not to personal)
