[1000mp] Mod's to ft1000mp

Hi all
  One mod I did to my 1000MP was to bypass the analog notch circuit. All the
hiss in the MP & ft-990 comes from the notch in the 455 IF. After doing much
testing, that is what I have found on both radios. they share the same
circuit. Of course the manual notch does not work anymore, but who needs it
anyway. I always use the DSP notch in that mode. The receiver is much
cleaner sounding now, in DSP or analog mode. And when you run it in the
analog mode it is impressively quiet. I did this because I use the radio in
the analog mode  for SSB  Hi Fi audio with wide filters experimenting .....
The hiss is tolerable running  DSP with sharp filters , but in analog the
rig is a annoying hiss box .......now the radio is as quiet as my TS-940 or
FT-102
