Hi Jim....

Sounds like you may have popped a diode in the swr circuit....This may have
happened from a thunder storm in the area, while the rig was hooked up to
the antenna, if you do not remember it failing while you were on the
air....If you have the technical manual, you can check the diode's location
and confirm the problem....The issue has been discussed before I believe,
and there have been postings on one or two websites for the replacement
fix....If you need more info please let me know...
