[1000mp] Key clicks- Yaesu vs Kenwood

We 1000MP owners, living with the key click nightmare, might find this
interesting. It is from the TS-950SDX sales brochure:

In CW mode the DSP detects the leading edge (key down) and trailing edge
(key up) of the keying signal, refers to the internal Gaussian
characteristics ROM, and obtains the shaped CW output. As a result, even
steep CW waveforms- with a selectable leading edge characteristic of 2 ms, 4
ms, 6 ms, or 8 ms have no key clicks.

Makes us having to select resistors and capacitors as timing elements to fix
a design limitation seem rather archaic doesn't it?
