Robert

I did the mod couple days ago as well. I could not make any test in a
contest environment, but this is what I could feel so far :

- I have always noise line - S2-3 on 15m for instance. Sometimes the noise
comes from several sources and get complex.
- In a case where the NB was not effective due to a complex noise line,
switching the NB off the background noise measured on the S meter decreased
slightly (S2-3 with the NB, S1-2 without it).
- When there is well behaved pulse noise, with the noise blanker ON the
background noise reduces as it should and the pulse noise goes away. Normal
behavior.

So in certain circumstances where the NB is not acting - because it is not
capable of cutting the interference out - turning the NB off, my complex
back ground noise reduces a bit.

Robert, could you ZIP your pictures e-mail them to me ? qsl.net has blocked
an IP segment which includes IPs from Brazil.

Happy New Year Fred PY2XB
