I've pulled the board before ... to check the relays/etc. So that
part is not too bad, just label your connections and such. The
older I get, the more important that becomes! <sigh>

At this point, you've done a great job as to narrowing down the
issue(s) ... it might <key word> be worth a call to Yaesu next, 
and run the situation by them ... they might have a specific idea.

Another option would be to pull the bandpass board and replace 
the components on the 80m section, as that's an idea that I've 
pondered before as to a cap or two that might be flaky, but tests
OK with the DVM.

Was the 80m XMIT GAIN within specs?  <Hidden menu adjustment>
