This is because you are using the DSP transmit for SSB . The radio switches to 6khz
filter in the DSP mode. The carrier offset is working but the filters are so wide it
has nothing to work against. That adjustment is for when you use the radio in the
Analog mode with DSP transmit off in menu 7-7. turn the DSP off in menu 7-7 and see
what I mean .....the MP is an unbelievable radio ..Most of the problems lie in the
fact that most people just do not know it capability ...let along understand them ...
