You would think so ... I agree ... but that didn't seem to
always be the case for others ... as I noted in the other
email ... my "HIGH SWR" showed up on 10m here, and
only on 1 of the MPs.

Another thought, if you have the MP service manual there,
would be to go into the "hidden menu" and try changing
the XMIT GAIN for 80m ... just to see if that might be a
possible solution? <Though I'd be asking myself WHY
or WHAT changed to require the alignment change ...>

Is the MP there set for GEN <all band xmit?> If so, another
test you can try ... is see if the HIGH SWR goes away if you
try 3501 ... and then 3499 ... in other words, change the
freq enough for the MP to switch it's internal bandpass circuits,
and see if the problem goes away ... I think 3500 is one cutoff
so that might be a useful check <listen carefully to the MP
as you QSY the VFO, and you'll hear the internal relays click>.
If the problem changes ... then it might be one of the two relays
per band located on the band pass board ...

The only other cause I can recall would be an issue with
the actual drivers 'taking off' ... but again, that would seem
to be an all bands issue, and not one ONLY on 80m ...

Hoping this helps ...
