I should have been more clear ... some MPs have been reported
to have problems with one of the two MP antenna ports ... as in take
the MP ... and use ANT A into the Alpha ... note the results. Then
swap the coax over to ANT B <on the MP> and run the same test
again into the amp ... if the problem changes ... then you may have
another clue as to where the problem lies. You might also want to
apply some pressure and/or wiggles the connection, as there's been
a post or two over the years about the connection just inside the
MP's connectors developing a hairline crack ... just one more item
to check and take off the list of what might be the root cause here.
If the dummy load test is FB ... <and I'd again, check both ports
of the MP> ... then the problem is back to a questionable coax
jumper or ???
