[1000mp] FP-29 problem

When switching on my FP-29 with or without the Transceiver DC cable
connected, the front panel LED comes on as normal for about a second
and then gradually dims till its visually off.  The Mark V shows no =
signs
of life when connected and turned on.  If the FP-29 is left off for a =
few
minutes and then turned back on, it exhibits the same symptoms.

Have not gone over the FP-29 schematic yet.  Just wondering if anyone
else experienced this.
