I had the same problem  after doing the Inrad mod and found I had forgotten
to attach one of the coax connectors.  They should be as follows,

BLUE - J2007
ORG - J2005
CLEAR - J2003 (was old yellow but now yellow goes to the mod)
GRAY - J2008
EMPTY - J2010

I recently did the Inrad key click mod on my 1 year old Mark V with good
results. I couldn't leave well enough alone and decided to do the W8JI key
click mod and that where I got into trouble. I damage a transistor on the IF
board and had to order that from Yaesu directly, after replacing that I got
the rig back together and it appeared to work fine, except the transmitter
has no output. The rig keys fine now but no output at all. I checked and
double checked the connections and made a diagram of the coax connections on
the RF and IF boards. The only ones I am not 100% certain about is J1003 and
J1005 on the RF board, what color is each of these suppose to be?
