[1000mp] 1000mp tuner malfunction

Yes, it would be a nice option to only clear the tuner memories....I do not
use the CAT system, but perhaps there would be a way to program the tuner
memory clear instruction via the CAT system, for those who use it....

I am always careful to not ask the tuner to memorize a setting, other than
my normal match to my standard antennas, by-passing the amplifier....Having
properly tuned the input circuit within the amp for low SWR, it is not
necessary to use the tuner while operating the linear amplifier....

When testing new antennas, if the SWR is too high, above 3:1, it is best not
to push and hold the tuner button, which will memorize the setting, even if
the tuner is unable to tune the load SWR down to something
reasonable....this would almost guarantee a future problem....

73 and Happy Dxing,

Mike
