Tom, W8JI is one of he most competent radio and antenna engineers around
today and if he says that the INRAD mod degrades the IMDDR3 figure by 10
db, then I believe him.

There are those that say they won't touch the INRAD front-end mod with a
ten-foot pole because of the degradation in the IMDDR3 figure.  In my
opionion, that's a shame because they are missing one of the best mods
for the money for their MP/MK V/Field.

It seems to me that you can still have the best of both worlds, even with
the INRAD mod installed.

If you're bothered by intermod products while receiving, all that is
necessary to regain that 10 dB of degradation is to use your front panel
ATTenuator switch and/or turn the IPO switch on.  That's why those
controls are there in the first place.

IF not bothered by intermod, turn the ATTenuator off and use the FLAT or
TUNED preamp by turning the IPO off.
