[1000mp] FT1000MP AGC decay time

I'm also curious about the Inrad mod that increases the fast AGC decay time 
just enough so that the gain stays relatively constant between 32wpm 
characters (that was the aim).

Have any topbanders tried this mod and has it adversely affected readability 
of cw during times of frequent static bursts (QRN) in noisy conditions, when 
fast AGC recovery is important?
