[1000mp] Interfacing Ameritron AL-80B with Yaesu FT1000 MP Mark V

If the Mark V is similar to the MP, all you have to do is plug it in.
I've used an AL-80B and a Heath SB-1000 with no problems.

I'm purchasing an Ameritron AL-80B Linear Amplifier.  Any advice on
interfacing with the Yaesu FT-1000 MP Mark V?

Do you advise also purchasing the interface "boxes" from Ameritron?
