"Pure DSP" HF equipment manufactured by the likes of Rockwell-Collins,
Harris and Rohde & Schwarz serves its military, civil-aviation, government
and commercial customers pretty well. Admittedly, it costs a bit more than
the amateur stuff.

I owned both a MkV and a 756Pro and operated them side by side.

I still use the MkV. The 756 was sold fairly quickly.

IMO, a pure DSP radio can't cut the mustard yet. Good old crystal
filtering combined with DSP gives the best bang for the buck.
