You are wrong. AGC detector in FT-1000MP is after second amplifier
of 455 IF (filters are before amplifiers, after mixer). And both IF and
RF under AGC control. Only 10kHz IF and AF filters are after AGC
detector and out of AGC control(and this is bad).
