[1000mp] FSK RTTY using 1000mp Mark V

I'm trying to use FSK RTTY on my FT-1000 Mark V.  Everything
seems to work except when I assert PTT, the ALC meter goes
off scale and the output is distorted.

I can't find any control for the ALC in the RTTY FSK mode.  I'm
missing something, or my radio is broken.

Can someone help?
