[1000mp] Stingy S-Meter?

Menu item 9-1 controls only the main receiver I.F. gain, and not the I.F.
gain of the sub receiver.

The way I set menu item 9-1 was to have the main receiver's S-meter read
the same as the sub receiver's S-meter on the same signal.  This was done
after installing the INRAD front end mod and the resultant menu 9-1
setting was 2 less than it was before the mod ("11" before, "9" after).

It doesn't make any difference whether you're using the FLAT or TUNED or
no (IPO = on) preamp when comparing the S-meters of the main and sub
receivers because both receivers use the selected preamp (or IPO).
