For the receive audio you can just route the fixed (or variable for that
matter) audio into the line input of your sound card. You can then adjust
the input level with the "line in" slider for your sound card. Even the
Rigblaster (at least the NOMIC version) just runs the receive audio directly
through to the sound card, no transformer. So, if you just want to read the
mail to start out, it's real easy, just wire up a patch cord to any
convenient audio output (preferably low level) and run it into your sound
card. Start up Digipan or WinPSK (or software of your choice), tune to the
PSK freqs., and you should be ready to copy with a simple input audio level
adjustment.
For my PSK hookup, I've hooked all the audio and PTT through the packet
connector on the back of the 1KMP and it works just fine.
