[1000mp] Hooking up an AL-800H

Dear MPers,

A number of months ago I asked a bunch of questions about the pros and cons of various amps a got a lot of excellent
information from members of this list.

I recently came across and bought a used AL-800H with the pin diode QSK option and will be hooking it up to my MkV.
Seems pretty straight forward but I thought I'd run it by this reflector in case I'm missing something or if somebody
might have good suggestions or tips.

Looks like I hook up pin 2 of the MkV's band data jack to the Relay line on the amp and pin 8 to the "12V" (TX inhibit)
line on the amp. Right?

Then set menu item 7-4 to (tx delay) to 1 msec. Right?

I know there are pros and cons to ALC but the MkV says "acceptable ALC voltage is 0 to -4V." The amp puts out 0 to -10.
I assume hooking this up directly will be OK and that the amp will only put out enough ALC voltage to limit the exciter
if necessary. Right?

TKS
