[1000mp] DVS-2 question

Sorry for the attempted relay of my earlier posting. Forgot that they could 
not be forwarded.

My problem: Recently one of my DVS-2's lost it's memory and the backup 
battery is nearly dead after over 5 years. 
In replacing it I find that I still have no memory but the unit works fine as 
before when the radio is on.
I have been told that perhaps the diode adjacent to the battery usually goes 
when the battery goes dead. I have no schematic or parts list, but the diode 
is D1005 on the pc board.
Does anyone know the value or replacement # for this diode so I can get my 
DVS-2 fully operational again.
