[1000mp] MP Receive Problem

My FT1000MP was purchased in 1995.  I had no receive problem running
barefoot or with my previous Knw TL-922A Amp.  In February of this year I
replaced the Knw TL-922A with a new Ameritron AL-1500.  I immediately
started to randomly incur the attenuated receive signal problem which could
be corrected with a "dit" or pressing the PTT switch.  Without the linear,
running barefoot, the attenuated receive problem disappeared.

In checking with Ameritron they advised the following, quote:  "Try using a
dollar bill to slide between the contacts of the T/R relay.  There may be
some residue on the contacts causing the problem."  That solved the problem.
