Here is your tip of the day Paul,
---
Stay away from the Visual Radio software! Been there, tired it, got burned
big time!! Expensive, buggy, more promised than delivered, promised bug
fixes 'always' to be in the next version are generally not there, more costs
for each version even if it was a bug fix, arrogant programmers with no
public relations capability, and always told it would do things that it
would not with ham rigs!!! Various features promised are also generally in
another 'package' that you need to pay extra for! After fighting hard for a
refund, you have to mail the printer port encryption adapter back to get it,
and they wont pay for that either!
---
Yep, your best bet is the TrxManager ( http://www.trx-manager.com/ ), and
the other techniques discussed on their email reflector (
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TRX-Manager ).
You can also interface TrxManager with the following programs:
Logging: LOGic 5, Swisslog
Map:DXAtlas
Satellite: Nova, Wintrak Pro, SatScape
Shortwave database: ILG Radio SWBC
CD-Rom: CallBook, QRZ, Buckmaster
QSL Manager database: CallBook, GoList
Misc: VKE by Stu N7QJP, FTBasic, DXTelnet
Free online downloadable US Fcc Database
Been using his software with my FT-1000MP since September of 1997, very
pleased customer here!
