It would be nice if one company made a good product and had good service.
Doesnt appear that exists.

Which is the fault of BOTH the factory/designers AND the "marketing"/sales
company (Yaesu).

Yes we do.  Of course if Yaesu really cared about their product and the
satisfaction of those who buy it, then they would be concerned with a lot
more than ordering, shipping, making coupons, etc.
In fact, if their attitude was different, they might actually be concerned
about eliminating problems and fixing the radios that they sold!  They do
this with some problems but completely deny the existence of other problems.

Sales managers opinions carry a lot of weight if they throw the weight of
their position behind the consumer.  Many of us have gotten the feeling that
Chip is indifferent at best and the tech dept. at Yaesu is frustrating to
deal with - at best.  This is a BAD way to do business and virtually insures
a decline in future products sold as Yaesu buyers look for a more reliable
alternative with other companies.
