I've also used the K2 in the same location as the MP.  Nice receiver, but 
the overall rf/if gain is significantly lower in the K2 which caused 
problems with my unamplified Beverages.  You need an external preamp to use 
a Beverage with a K2.

Please keep us posted on your own eventual K2/MP comparison Earl.
