[1000mp] SP-8 speaker

Could very well be.  I know from my experiance with speakers that The 
Icom SP-20 which seems to be very highly rated by almost everyone 
sounds too muddy to my ears and the Yaesu SP-5 does not seem to be a 
very popular speaker I think is just right.  So I was thinking of 
another SP-5 or to try somthing different a SP-8, thats why I 
appreciate the input.

I'm also thinking of building my own speaker using a ceiling speaker 
from QUAM.  This speaker is an 8 inch model with a spl of 98 db which 
is better than any RS speaker, should be easy to drive, I think, and 
it's priced at about $13 bucks.  I'm looking for information on 
building speaker enclosures and dimensions ect so if anyone could 
point me in a direction there that would be helpful too.
