[1000mp] FT1000MP: Receiver cross-talk

Good morning...

My trusty FT1000MP (factory date Dec 1996) has developed a weird problem. 
When operating dual receive (I almost always work split), I'm hearing 
sub-receiver audio in the main receiver, even with the sub's volume control 
at _minimum_. It used to be inaudible at that setting.

This started several months ago, and it's got worse since. I now have to 
turn off dual receive to hear the station I'm monitoring on main. This 
makes split operation a real pain.

Strange thing: It's the _higher_ audio frequencies getting through from the 
sub. With the sub's volume control at minimum, I hear only the 1 to 2 KHz 
components from the sub. If I then increase volume, I start hearing the 
lower audio frequencies from the sub, just like normal.

High frequency sub RX audio leaking into the main RX.  Anybody else seen 
this problem and been able to fix it?
