In the normal filter position, the 3rd mixer will pass the AM signal into a
455 khz ceramic filter......This provides the 6 khz bandwidth......Of
course, if you toggle the filter to narrow 1, you will select the 2.4
crystal filters and narrow the bandpass....

Naturally, AM can also be received in the SSB mode, with diversity
reception, using one receiver on the upper side, and one on the lower
sideband, and mixing the two sidebands together at the audio level....

So many options for AM.....and various filter combinations.....
