[1000mp] 1000MP-MV Filter choice

Hello,

I'm new to this list and to the 1000MP-MV , and like many of you before,
I'm just asking me what additional filters to buy. Of course the answer is
'it depends' , but maybe someone can help me with his experiences.

I am especially interested in experiences/informations, if, for a given
bandwith,
you really need to intall the filters for both IF freq. (8M/455k).
For instance, you want 1.8 MHz Bandwith for SSB, do you have to buy both 1.8
filters or
do you reach nearly the same result with a stock 2.4 in the 8M IF and a 1.8
in the 455k IF ????

An I am also interested in general experiences and hints which IF filters to
buy (from INRAD).

My prefered operating modes are SSB (only DX/Contest), CW
(DX/Contest/Ragchew) and digital modes.

My idea for now is to have the following bandwiths:

2.4k  YAESU (SSB wide)
1.8k  INRAD (SSB narrow / CW wide)
1k    INRAD (not sure if I need it for another CW wide)
500Hz YAESU (RTTY)
400Hz INRAD (CW narrow and digital modes)

But I do not know how to combine this bandwiths within the two IF stages.

My idea:
8M:   2.4k SSB ,  1K CW
455k: 1.8k SSB, 500Hz RTTY, 400Hz CW

I really don't now if this is ok, and if I also need 1.8k and 400Hz within
8M IF.


Of course I walked through the archives of this list, but I did not find all
answers.
So it would nice if someone can help me, and I hope you understand my bad
English...
Maybe I can sometimes give a summary with 'the ultimate' filter combination
;-)
