Having by desire of keeping the original 1000mp reflector (which lost
it's home server not too long after starting) going, I started this
reflector on qth.net. I have been through both manifestations of the mp
and have cross learned from posters more times than I can think of. I
now have a Mark V but did the original review for the mp in 73 magazine
and bought one shortly after. Just before the ARRL contest I finally
switched to Inrad 1.8 filters because of comments from both original and
Mark V owners and feel my score was helped by the switch (along with a
new Acom 2000A). I also own a 1000D and though I would not want to see
posts for the D appearing on this reflector since the mp and the D are
two very different radios, it is my thought that as long as Yaesu
continues with the mp line of radios we would benefit from keeping it in
one place. I very much discourage cross posting to multiple groups as it
wastes bandwidth and uses valuable archive space on AL's servers which
he lets us all use for free. I think that the delete key is a excellent
tool for the days that mp's dis V's or V's dis mp's and that the pro's
of keeping it in one place out way the con's.
