[1000mp] 1000MP Interface to Band Selector Output and Remote Relay Box

I started out to build my own, but purchased the Top Ten box. If you want to
roll your own, the schematics are on their web site! It probably takes more
time to locate suitable parts than to build it.
My motivation for rolling my own was that the Top Ten's internal jumpering
was inadequate for al but the simplest antenna arrangements, and required
more stuff at the output. My particular angle was that I had two antennas
available on some bands. Given that, I ignored the internal jumpering, and
took an old DB25 A/B box and converted it for the desired switching. In my
case, I had two separate relay boxes---an MFJ 130 feet up a redwood tree
(and therefore fairly inaccessible) and a Top Ten relay box.
The MFJ requires positive drive and the Top Ten grounds the return, so I
bought the Top Ten version with both polarities of output. The switchbox
switches 25 input pins between either of two outputs. All it took was a
handful of diodes and rerouting of some of the wires already in place in the
box. Most of the existing wiring was just left in place against future
changes. Simple to design, cheap, quick, and easy to change. So I homebrewed
that and used the stock Top Ten.
BTW, the MP's low-voltage amplifier control pin is also in that
band-selector jack. INRAD/Top Ten will sell you a cable for the MP/Top Ten
combo that brings out that pin to the Top-Ten's keying jack, neatly solving
the problem of keying a QSK amp while utilizing automatic antenna selection.
It's worth the price.
I have no experience with the WX0B box.
