I assume these are phone settings.  For CW, I've found it most useful to
offset both shift and width in the same direction.  When there is a lot of
wideband noise, running the RF gain well below full open also seems to help.

Also, you don't mention IDBT.  I often use it on phone and it nearly always
seems to help.
