[1000mp] FT1000D

I bought a 1000D for my main contest radio after using the 1000MP for a
couple of years. I've been delighted with the 1000D. The main reason was
the poor AGC action in the 1000MP, which made copying stations in big CW
pileups very difficult even with the INRAD AGC mod. The ergonomics of the
1000D are better for me as well. Still use the MP for the second radio in
SO2R. I kept the MP because it's still a great rig for non-pileup
situations, has far superior QSK timing, and I prefer it for SSB. I also
like the programmability. It's a great combination for maximum flexibility.
Had Yaesu fixed the AGC problem in the Mk V, I'd have seriously considered
it instead of the 1000D.
