What I meant to say was:

"The K2 uses a variable-bandwidth scheme with five xtals in series for
its 1st IF filter.  The 2nd IF filter uses two more xtals in cascade (as
a fixed IF filter), the output of which is mixed (in the product
detector) with a variable xtal oscillator (which is the BFO)."

The IF frequency of the K2 is 4.915 MHz.
