[1000mp] MP-1000 Mark-V Field (Thumps/Clicks on Break-In CW) Help here

I haven't been following this thread as my Mark-V doesn't seem to have the
problem, but I do have a question or a suggestion.

I'm assuming that you're hearing these thumps when listening to the sidetone
on headphones though maybe not. With my previous MP, a DC model, I had
terrible thumps when the power output was more than a few watts, with lots
of thumping at full power. Since I only experienced it with a pair of Radio
Shack PRO-50MX headphones (with boom microphone and a Heil element) and not
others, I assumed then and now it was RF getting into them. RF torroids
didn't help.

I didn't have the problem with the same headphones when I had an IC-746 as a
backup radio and don't now have the problem (if I understand it correctly)
with my Mark-V.

Maybe this is far fetched, but I wanted to pass on my experience in case the
fix is as simple as using different headphones.

Isn't this the transmit delay setting? (My cheat sheet and I are separated
right now) If, so, haven't you solved the QSK thump problem by essentially
eliminating whatever QSK the MP has? At least at higher speeds. I have an
MP (not MkV). Perhaps 7-4 is different, but the units and their values seem
about right for TX Delay.
