[1000mp] Virus??

Paul,

The Klez.E worm has been widely distributed. A couple of weeks ago I
had the same problem... many messages (all with attachments) all about the
same size (118Kb) and all containing the Klez.E virus. A few hints just to
make it more difficult to get infected: 1) download the latest virus
definitions at least every other week. 2) make sure windows explorer is set
to show all file types, and NOT to hide file extensions. That way the file
type is shown for the attachments to e-mail. My version of Norton catches
these puppies.

I suspect that the attachments to those emails included a .bat or a .html
file. Those are the ones that were supposed to get you.

I'd like just a few minutes out behind the barn with the wonker that started
this puppy... the business end of a 2x4 ought to be about right for 'im.

Don B.
