Even in the absence of hum from ground loops, I wonder if the isolation 
transformers would be helpful in reducing rfi getting into the soundcard 
through the audio lines, since the common mode connection is broken that way.

I have a problem with RFI getting into my soundcard and crashing RecAll on 
15 meters when I use my audio patch panel.  It's OK when I make a direct 
connection, which makes me think that the total length of the connecting 
cables is the source of the problem.  If it was differential mode, then 
bypassing should help, but I was wondering if iso transformers would be 
worth adding...
