Hello Ken,

You really have bad luck. We call this 'monday morning manufacturing'. I
wished I could help you... I still would try a third one; it is worth
trying.

I have the MkV and the ProII. The ProII is very good as second receiver and
for 50 MHz. In tough circumstances (e.g. contest and poor signals) the MkV
is much better and of higher quality. It has much better ergonomics too.
