[1000mp] Diversity reception using the FT-1000MP

Hi,

I have taken to cover off my FT-1000MP, and connected an second receive
antenna to the sub receiver. The FT-1000MP is especially suited for
diversity reception since both receivers are phase locked to the same
frequency reference (10.48576 MHz), and all oscillator frequencies used
inside the receivers are derived from that reference. By pressing the "lock"
button and tuning the main VFO, both receivers will be tuned at the same
time.

Listen for some audio recordings on my homepage. The diversty effect is
quite interesting. The conversion of the audio to MP3 format has degradeded
the otherwise fine audio quality from the FT-1000MP.
